Lab Manager/Research Associate - Job ID:6302

Responsibilities of the Lab Manager/Research Associate:

  • Assist in relocation and establishment of new lab 
  • Organize and maintain structure of the lab, managing day-to-day activities
  • Develop, implement and maintain laboratory guidelines and standard operating procedures 
  • Build lab services team that handles equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of essential equipment
  • Maintaining all service records, contracts, and inventory
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Work directly with EHS consultants to manage liquid and solid waste pickups
  • Assist Scientist and Sr. Scientists in the following experiments with support: in Vivo, cell-based assays, enzyme assays, protein isolation


Requirements of the Lab Manager/Research Associate:

  • BS in life science related discipline
  • 5 years industry laboratory experience
  • Experience with and knowledge of standard molecular and cellular biology, cell culture, protein purification, and safety and laboratory procedures 
  • Previous vendor management/coordination experience preferred
  • Experience ordering inventory, equipment, reagents, chemicals
