Position located in Cambridge, MA

Responsibilities of the Research Associate II (Biochemistry):

• Will perform biological characterization techniques such as FTIR spectroscopy, XPS, AFM, SEM, and SPR.
• Will help design and run experiments, collect and analyze data, and clearly summarize objectives, conclusion, observations and next steps in team meetings and discussions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and optimize a diagnostic technology and solve challenging problems.
• Maintain a lab notebook and keep up to date on the latest developments in chemistry, biochemistry, and analytical characterization.

Requirements of the Research Associate II (Biochemistry):

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience with point-of-care diagnostic technologies or biosensors are a plus.
• Proficient in the use of analytical and/or biological characterization techniques including FTIR, DLS, SPR (Biacore or Octet), UV-Vis spectroscopy (Nanodrop), and/or fluorescence microscopy.
