Technician II (Plastics) - Job ID:6652

Responsibilities of the Technician II (Plastics):

  • Electronic and mechanical assembly and troubleshooting of the equipment
  • Basic processing equipment assembly and alignment
  • Mechanical adjustment, calibration and repair, based on process analysis and specifications
  • Start-up and troubleshoot Extrusion / compounding process and make process improvement to improve yields and minimize downtime
  • Perform routine process analysis to verify accuracy and completeness of established process
  • Provide on-line technical support to Production
  • Collaborate with Engineers to achieve reduced manufacturing costs and quality initiatives
 
Requirements of the Technician II (Plastics):
  • Must have 3+ years experience working with plastics processing equipment
  • Knowledge of Plastics Processing and Plastics machinery maintenance
  • Start-up and Troubleshoot Extrusion / compounding process
  • Ability to use bench top test equipment and custom manufacturing test stations
