Mechanical Engineer

 

Required Qualifications:

 

BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline, MS preferred

 

7 - 10 years experience designing, prototyping, documenting, and commercializing laboratory or medical instrumentation products

 

5⁺ years recent experience designing and documenting electromechanical products using SolidWorks

 

Specific design experience in electronics packaging, sheet metal and non-metallic enclosures, low speed automation, and fluid handling

 

Knowledgeable in materials selection and mechanical fabrication and assembly processes

 

Ability to prepare accurate and complete drawings, part specifications, bills of materials, work instructions, engineering change orders, etc. using industry accepted drafting and documentation standards

 

Able to expeditiously complete projects from initial concept through production startup, and to provide on-going support after release

 

Able to work effectively and productively in a project team environment or as an individual assigned to a project

 

Good oral and written communication skills

 

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

Specific design experience in temperature measurement products

 

Able to conduct stress analysis, heat transfer, thermodynamic, and fluid mechanics

analyses on electronics enclosures and fluid handling systems

 

Experience designing and fabricating high volume, low cost molded plastic components
