Responsibilities Provide guidance and support engineering design in materials science. Evaluate and improve materials selection and hardware design to produce
better product and technology. Test reproducibility of improvements and incorporate in upgrades to
existing products. Develop continuous improvement in processes and equipment. Must be able to assist in the creation and maintain complex
documentation sets, involving highly technical material, for training purposes
under limited supervision. Help to identify and implement standards and process improvements. Requirements Ph.D. or MS in materials, physics, ME, EE, or ChE
(Ph.D. in materials preferred) with extensive experience in materials science
research, engineering, and applications. Must have experience and background in graphite
materials with focus on high temperature applications. Prefer to have experience in silicon, metallurgy, ceramics. Familiar with and be able to understand and interact with vendors. Solid understanding on solid and fluid mechanics. Well-developed interpersonal and communication
skills. Strong communication skills in English. Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, project management, and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills. Comfortable in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 10 years of industrial experience in an
engineering or manufacturing environment. |
