Associate Scientist, Cell Line Development

Responsibilities of the Associate Scientist, Cell Line Development:

  • Perform cell culture and assist in cell line development programs, including transient/stable transfection, selection, single cell cloning, high throughput screening, characterization of clonal cell lines, cell banking, and cell line stability studies.
  • Characterize CHO and HEK cell lines.
  • Perform protein expression including designing, constructing, and evaluating novel expression vectors and systems.
  • Perform QC on product quality and assays.
  • Analyze data, troubleshoot and keep detailed records.

Requirements of the Associate Scientist, Cell Line Development:

  • BS/MS in life science discipline with 3+ years industry experience.
  • Must have a strong mammalian cell culture background with hands-on experience purifying proteins or viral vectors.
  • Direct experience with cell line development, including working with CHO or HEK cell lines is highly desired.
  • Experience operating bench scale bioreactors in a GMP environment is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced cross functional environment.
