Responsibilities of the Associate Scientist-Plasmid DNA Manufacturing:

• Partnering closely with cross-functional representatives and clients, this role will ensure Plasmid DNA development activities are completed per agreed upon timelines and deliverables.
• Perform cell-based production and purification of DNA templates.
• Maintain an excellent record of inventory and purchase necessary reagents for DNA production.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Plasmid DNA development to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.

Requirements of the Associate Scientist-Plasmid DNA Manufacturing:

• BS or MS in Biology, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology or Biochemistry with 5+ years industry experience.
• Deep understanding of DNA synthesis processes and implementing novel methodologies.
• PCR amplification, gel electrophoresis and analysis.
• DNA restriction and ligation (e.g., restriction enzymes, Golden Gate, Gibson).
