Help Desk Support Technician

Responsibilities of the Help Desk Support Technician:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical assistance over the phone or email.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, applications software, and system management tools
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Maintain and perform basic network and systems administration tasks.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
Requirements of the Help Desk Support Technician:
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • 2 + years experience with Help Desk Support.
  • Basic knowledge of Networking LAN/WAN
  • Hardware – Desktops, Laptops, Laser Printers.
  • Software – Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Products 2010-2016 and Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Able to build working relationships with coworkers within department.
