Responsibilities of the Manager, Process Development (AAV):

  • Lead the execution of manufacturing for downstream processing for Viral Vector efforts
  • Oversee the reviewing, revising, and authoring of SOPs, batch records, and batch reports for pilot and large-scale downstream manufacturing operations
  • Lead/support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance downstream operational workflows
  • Develop, maintain and demonstrate advanced knowledge of principals and techniques in column chromatography, filtration and other technologies
  • Self-motivated and display sound technical judgement
  • Support internal and CRO activities and communicate effectively with internal/external teams

Requirements of the Manager, Process Development (AAV):

  • BS/MS degree in chemical or biochemical engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 6 years of industry experience
  • Significant experience of working with pilot- and large-scale DSP manufacturing unit operations
  • Significant experience and knowledge of purification technologies and operations such as Depth filtration, Chromatography, Viral filtration and inactivation, etc.
  • Experience with viral vector analytics is a plus (e.g. CE-SDS, ddPCR, ELISA).
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and function within a collaborative, team-oriented environment
