Responsibilities of the Principal Associate Scientist/Scientist/Sr. Scientist-In Vitro Pharmacologist:
- Screen and evaluate drug candidates in cell-based assays.
- Perform cell and molecular biology techniques such as RNA and protein isolation, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, protein assays, and project-specific assays.
- Work in aseptic conditions and maintain cultures of various cell types.
- Maintain accurate documentation of experiments in an electronic lab notebook.
- Present research findings at group meetings and company-wide presentations.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively in a result-oriented research environment.
Requirements of the Principal Associate Scientist/Scientist/Sr. Scientist-In Vitro Pharmacologist:
- MS (5+ years) or PhD (2+ years) in Biology, Cell Biology, or Molecular Biology.
- Strong hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, and molecular techniques (PCR, RT-PCR, RNA isolation, etc.).
- Experience with automated assays.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
