Principal Scientist, Mass Spectrometry

Responsibilities of the Principal Scientist, Mass Spectrometry:

  • Will develop and qualify highly sensitive, reliable LCMS methods for the rapid and accurate analysis of biologic, viral vector, and RNA modalities.
  • Perform in-depth mass-spec and biophysical characterization using state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Identify emerging practices and drive scientifically innovative method development.
  • Troubleshoot assays and apply design of experiments (DOE) and other systematic and statistical approaches to method development, as needed.
  • Mentor and provide scientific expertise to the analytical sciences team.
  • Represent the analytical sciences team on cross-functional projects and effectively communicate results, progress and plans.

 

Requirements of the Principal Scientist, Mass Spectrometry:

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biological Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must have 3+ years performing mass-spec and biophysical characterization in support of biologic therapies.
  • Must have experience with LC/MS assays and HPLC/UPLC analysis of biologics or viral vector therapeutics.
