Scientist, DNA Statistical Modeling

Responsibilities of the Scientist, DNA Statistical Modeling:

  • Lead design and optimization of scalable biochemical operations that process DNA-encoded information
  • Design and execute wet lab experiments to meet project goals and development timelines
  • Collaborate with the hardware, analytics, and software teams to test, model, and optimize chemical operations
  • Contribute to peer-reviewed articles and patents that communicate
  • Participate in planning and executing commercialization strategy for building the world’s first DNA-based storage and computing platform

Requirements of the Scientist, DNA Statistical Modeling:

  • A PhD in synthetic or molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 1-2 years of industry experience
  • Nucleic acid synthesis in vitro (enzymatic and organic)
  • Deep knowledge and experience with cutting-edge molecular biology methods, for example CRISPR editing, ddPCR, and nanopore sequencing
  • Use of statistical tools, SAS, R or JMP
  • Excellent experimental design, planning, organization, documentation, and communication skills
  • Breadth of experience in and ability to develop depth in nucleic acid methods
  • Experience in analysis of experimental data
  • Any DNA experience and synthetic biology
