Responsibilities of the Scientist, Reagents:

  • Manage staff to guarantee sterile and dependable production of assay reagents to meet already established specifications
  • Work cross-functionally to establish procedure and specifications for new or improved regent formulations
  • Maintain and refine documentation for reagent preparation with the company’s ISO13485 quality system
  • Work to improve and refine quality control procedures all reagents
  • Track and maintain supply of materials and finished reagents
  • Oversee automated fill-finish of assay consumables

Requirements of the Scientist, Reagents:

  • Bachelors/Masters in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, chemistry, or other science related major
  • Direct experience managing formulation 2+ years, at least 4-5 years experience for other backgrounds
  • Ability and willingness to manage lab techs
  • Industry experience with reagents preparation within a FDA/ISO compliant quality system
  • Needs to be proficient in all basic lab bench skills such as assay development, cell culture, bacteria, ect
  • Capable of designing experiments and quantitatively analyzing data to reach actionable conclusions
  • Proficient with basic statistical analysis methods and software
  • Experience supporting troubleshooting efforts
  • Ideally someone with >4 years working at the bench within a quality system
