Senior Research Associate, Ex Vivo Pharmacology

Responsibilities of the Senior Research Associate, Ex Vivo Pharmacology:

  • Development and optimization of molecular assays for evaluating editing outcomes and genotoxicity of CRISPR-based therapeutics.
  • Work with primary cells and cell lines. Develop and perform in vitro cell-based assays supporting the pharmacology and toxicology evaluation of CRISPR-based therapeutics.
  • Maintain an electronic lab notebook in a timely fashion.
  • Analyze and present data within the organization.
  • Generate SOP, protocols, and other essential documents for preclinical assay development. Write study reports. Contribute to regulatory documents writing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define adequate assays/processes, tech transfer as applicable, and handle logistics around material to be used for studies.
  • Interact and manage vendors, CROS, collaborators.

Requirements of the Senior Research Associate, Ex Vivo Pharmacology:

  • BS/MS in Biology or related discipline and 5+ years of hands on research experience in academic and/or pharmaceutical/biotech environment.
  • Skilled in molecular assays including DNA/RNA extractions, qRT-PCR, ddPCR.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in assay development and optimization is a must. Familiarity with genotoxicity assays is a plus.
  • Familiar with cell-based assays.
  • Self-motivated, result-driven with excellent attention to details and ability to independently execute protocols to drive assignments to completion.
  • Team oriented and excel in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
