Senior Scientist, Lentivirus

Responsibilities of the Senior Scientist, Lentivirus:

  • Utilize a combination of biochemistry, protein engineering, and assay development to build out a new VLP-based system for gene editing delivery
  • Independently initiate, design, analyze and interpret experiments, present results regularly to group and project teams
  • Conduct standard molecular biology techniques (cloning, production of lentivirus, characterization of viral vectors, PCR, qRT-PCR, western blot, etc.)
  • Flexibly support multiple research projects as the company grows

Requirements of the Senior Scientist, Lentivirus:

  • PhD in biochemistry, virology, or related field with 6+ years of relevant work experience. 3+ years of experience in industry is preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience with protein-based delivery systems
  • Previous experience with cell-based assays, cell culture, lentivirus generation, cell line generation, CRISPR-Cas9 gene knock out system, molecular biological and biochemical assay including western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence assay, cloning, RT-PCR etc. is required
  • Experience in VLP/AAV/LV gene therapy delivery is a plus
