Senior Scientist, Synthetic Biology

Responsibilities of the Senior Scientist, Synthetic Biology:

  • Develop novel methods to synthesize, sort, modify, and read DNA at scale.
  • Collaborate with biology, engineering, analytics, and software teams to design and execute experiments demonstrating computation with molecules of DNA.
  • Analyze data, present findings, and make recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Publish peer-reviewed articles and file patents on our team’s achievements.

Requirements of the Senior Scientist, Synthetic Biology:

  • MS or PhD in molecular biology or a related field with at least 2 years of industry experience.
  • Extensive experience with DNA-based assay development and mastery of molecular techniques.
  • Expertise in at least one lab automation platform or other type of DNA-interfacing hardware for scaling up processes.
