Responsibilities of the Senior Scientist, Upstream Process Development, AAV:

  • Develop protocols of GMP processes for adherent, suspension, and bioreactor cell lines.
  • Lead experiments for viral vaccine generation.
  • Establish present protocols and learn new technologies.
  • Scale up processes to tech transfer.
  • Participate in team meetings and present data.
  • Mentor and train more junior staff.

Requirements of the Senior Scientist, Upstream Process Development, AAV:

  • Ph.D with 2+ years or BS/MS with 5+ years.
  • Displayed experience working with bioreactors and upstream processes.
  • Experience with AAV, lentivirus, or  viral vaccine production is strongly preferred.
  • Mammalian cell culture.
  • Working knowledge of upstream scale up process development, and bioreactors.
  • GMP experience is a plus.
