Responsibilities of the Vice President, R&D (Immuno-Oncology):

  • Leading all R&D efforts from discovery and clinical development
  • Leads drug development through IND
  • Help establish and maintain business development partnerships
  • Participate in scientific advisory board meetings
  • Aid in company expansion from R&D capabilities to additional hires and growth
  • Oversees work with legal advisors on the company’s intellectual property portfolio
  • Manage cross functional groups from Immuno-Oncology, LNP Formulations, Synthetic Biology, and Data Science
  • Manage CROs and collaborate with academic partners

Requirements of the Vice President, R&D (Immuno-Oncology):

  • Ph.D and/or M.D. in life science discipline with 15+ years industry experience.
  • Must have proven track record of advancing drug candidates through IND
  • Working knowledge of FDA and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in Immuno-Oncology and/or RNA/mRNA therapeutics is highly desirable
  • Excellent leadership skill and experience managing teams of 20+ employees
  • Strong publications record
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast paced small start up environment
