Central Sterile Technician
Position located in Cambridge, MA
Shift: 8hr eves: 2:30p-11:00p
AHA BLS required
The Central Service Technician will be responsible for the decontamination, preparation, high-level disinfection, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments, medical devices and equipment required for patient care.
The ideal candidate is meticulous, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about infection control protocols and standards.
Responsibilities of the CST:
- Disassemble, clean, assemble, sterilize, and store procedure trays, instruments, equipment and supplies according to prescribed procedures and aseptic technique
- Inspect instruments to ensure all required items are available for surgery
- Test and maintain sterilization equipment to ensure its working properly
- Maintain accurate sterilization and quality assurance records
- Report any equipment or supply issues to the supervisor
- Manage inventory and ensure supplies are ordered as necessary
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures
Submission Requirements of the CST:
- Up to date resume that includes 10+ year(s) of experience in matching specialty experience. (travel highly preferred)
- 2 recent Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references matching specialty
- Skills Checklist matching specialty
- AHA BLS Required
- Drivers licenses with address that matches demographics
Estimated Gross Pay: $1480/weekly
