Position located in Watertown, NY

Requirements of the Operating Room RN:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current NYS RN license or eligible.
• Successful completion and passing grade on the final exam is mandatory and a condition of employment as an Operating room RN.
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred.
• Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred; preceptorship, charge and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.
• Experienced RN will possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient’s needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.
• Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to move patients in a safe manner.
• Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
• May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
• Knowledge in the use of typical clinical equipment instrumentation utilized in providing a safe and/or aseptic environment in and OR/ASU setting.
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
• On call required (Response time of 30 minutes).

Estimated Gross Salary: $2920/weekly (travel)
