Position located in Boston, MA

Responsibilities of the Clinical Research Nurse:

• The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) will provide direct patient care to patients enrolled in or considering a clinical trial.
• Work closely with the team in the hospitals to ensure high quality data collection, adherence to minimal standards and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
• Develop and foster strong, collaborative relationships with the hospitals and key stakeholders.
• Create agendas and coordinate meetings among stakeholders for projects, maintain timeline for all deliverables and project goals.
• In addition, the CRN utilizes evidence-based nursing practice and has expertise in developing and coordinating a plan of care designed to meet the physical, psychological, and social needs of those patients and their families undergoing therapy in a clinical research trial.
• Specific duties and responsibilities may vary across the different satellite practices.
• Assists principal investigator as appropriate with the Institute’s protocol review process.
• Assists the principal investigator in developing the protocol budget.

Requirements of the Clinical Research Nurse:

• BS/MS or advanced clinical degree (nursing or social work) and a minimum of 5+ years of project coordination or advanced research administrative experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of clinical care is required (hospital care preferred) for this position.
• Must have experience with human trials.
• Supervisory, management, training and mentoring experience required.
