Position located in Boston, MA

Responsibilities of the Contract Data Scientist:

• Perform in-depth analysis of real-world datasets, including EHR and large-scale multi-omics data and contribute to clinical data interpretation and study report development
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external partners to scope analytical approaches, evaluate data integrity, and deliver insights from complex datasets using advanced statistical methodologies
• Develop and implement robust analytical frameworks and workflows to support drug discovery efforts and enable precision medicine initiatives in clinical programs
• Translate analytical outputs into biologically meaningful insights and effectively communicate findings to both scientific and non-scientific audiences across the organization and at external forums
• Identify, evaluate, and apply novel computational techniques and data integration strategies to enhance data interpretation and decision-making
• Contribute to the drafting and submission of scientific publications, and support patent filings and other intellectual property activities
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed in support of team and organizational goals

Requirements of the Contract Data Scientist:

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline, with at least 4 years of relevant industry experience
• Demonstrated experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
• Hands-on experience working with Real-World Data (RWD), including datasets such as EHR and claims from major data providers
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Scala, C, and database tools like MySQL is advantageous but not required
