Position located in Waltham, MA

Responsibilities of the Contract Research Technician:

• Will work in a BSL-2 environment and prepare/label human biological samples for analysis which will include centrifugation, aliquoting, and labeling.
• Prepare reagents, media, and other materials necessary for experiments.
• Capture, organize, and analyze data from experiments, often using database software.
• Properly track and handle seed and plant samples on paper, shared google sheets, and on a LIMS
• Operate various types of equipment such as pipettes, scales, grinders, centrifuges, plate washers, etc.

Requirements of the Contract Research Technician:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar within the Life Science field preferred.
• Must have 1-2 years experience within the laboratory setting including good lab practices and sterile technique.
• Experience with ELISA’s is a plus.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and be flexible in day-to-day work.
