Contract Scientist/Sr. Scientist – In Vivo Pharmacology and NGS
Position located in Boston, MA

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Scientist or Senior Scientist with experience in in vivo pharmacology and next-generation sequencing (NGS) to support preclinical research programs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with animal tissue samples and applying NGS or genomic sequencing approaches to characterize biological responses to drug candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute in vivo pharmacology studies to evaluate drug efficacy, pharmacodynamics, and mechanisms of action.
- Collect, process, and analyze animal tissue samples from preclinical studies.
- Apply NGS-based approaches to analyze gene expression, genomic, or transcriptomic changes in tissue samples.
- Collaborate with bioinformatics, molecular biology, and discovery teams to interpret sequencing data.
- Develop and optimize tissue processing, RNA/DNA extraction, and sequencing workflows.
- Analyze and present experimental results to cross-functional project teams.
- Contribute to study design, data interpretation, and preparation of reports and presentations.
- Maintain accurate experimental records and ensure studies are conducted in accordance with applicable laboratory and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in Pharmacology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related discipline.
- Industry or academic experience in in vivo pharmacology/preclinical research.
- Hands-on experience with NGS and/or transcriptomic/genomic analysis.
- Experience working with animal tissues and samples from in vivo studies.
- Familiarity with RNA/DNA isolation, library preparation, sequencing technologies, and/or sequencing data analysis.
- Strong experimental design, data analysis, and communication skills.
