Responsibilities of the Senior Research Associate:

  • Perform molecular techniques including DNA/RNA isolation, cloning, PCR, qRT-PCR, gene expression analysis, cell line engineering as needed
  • Perform assays for the detection and quantitation of peptides and oligonucleotides from cells and tissues
  • Produce data that contributes to the selection of new EDOs for the treatment of multiple therapeutic targets
  • Develop and perform assays for high throughput screening of a panel of novel oligonucleotide-peptide conjugates
  • Establish cellular and biochemical assays to elucidate the mechanism of action of next-generation peptides in different cellular contexts
  • Identify and characterize target-appropriate cell models for proof-of-concept analysis

 

Requirements of the Senior Research Associate:

  • BS or MS with 4+ years relevant experience
  • Must have experience with mammalian tissue culture techniques qPCR, and DNA/RNA isolation
  • Demonstrated experience with in vitro cell-based assay development and execution
  • Self-motivation, ability to work independently, excellent organization skills, multitasking and working within timelines is required
